The menu showcases a delightful array of traditional Mexican dishes, with a standout item being the De La Plaza combo. Pair your meal with refreshing beverages from their drink selection, such as the invigorating Topochico Mineral Water or the house-favorite Lambic Framboise, and don’t forget to try one of their renowned margaritas. The food was good some of the dishes were pretty bland. However, the servers were really great and attentive. The atmosphere was great and it was such a good experience. I would come back again.

This place was packed on a Thursday night! We made a reservation and were seated quickly. We ordered some great guacamole as an appetizer. Most of us got tacos as an entree. I didn’t enjoy mine very much, it was more lettuce than meat. The beans and rice were good, though. My friend got shrimp enchiladas and loved them so I may try that dish if I go back. The chocolate flan was excellent. It was very noisy in the restaurant and the people at the table next to us were yelling and speaking loudly so it wasn’t the best experience. Nice decor and the service was excellent. I’ll try it again and choose something different.

Quinto Sol is a remarkable destination for those seeking an elevated Mexican culinary experience. From the moment you step inside, the lavish décor and carefully curated ambiance captivate your senses. The interiors seamlessly blend traditional Mexican artistry with contemporary elegance, creating an inviting yet luxurious atmosphere perfect for any occasion. The food at Quinto Sol is nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish is a testament to authenticity and flavor, crafted with meticulous attention to detail. The enchiladas were an absolute standout—perfectly balanced with tender fillings and rich, flavorful sauces that left us wanting more. Their use of cherished family recipes, particularly their grandmother’s specialties, adds a personal and heartwarming touch to the menu that is simply unparalleled. A delightful highlight was the trio of salsas served with crispy chips. While all were flavorful, the green salsa stood out as a revelation—vibrant, fresh, and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. It alone is worth the visit! The restaurant's cleanliness and upkeep are impeccable, further enhancing the dining experience. However, parking can be a bit challenging, so plan accordingly. Overall, Quinto Sol is a must-visit for its unparalleled blend of authentic flavors, stunning ambiance, and exceptional service. A true masterpiece in Mexican dining!

Been years since I’ve been here and it’s still very good! Great service, atmosphere and food! Had the sea bass and it was amazing! Bear rice and beans I’ve had in a long time! Need to come this direction more often! Bf had the chicken salad and he said it was really good and dressing is to die for!

This is one of our favorite Mexican Restaurants every time we get together in San Mateo. It's in Redwood city. The only thing negative about this place is to find a parking space. Most of the street parkings are closed off due to being worked on. I had to park 2 long blocks away and walk in the cold and light rain LOL. Anyhow, the restaurant is nice, high ceiling and quite big. The hosts are quite pleasant and helpful. We had to wait for all members of our party showed up to be seated even with reservation. The place is quite noisy from birthday parties to just plain get together like ourselves. The appetizers are quite tasty, we liked the nachos, guacamole, very rich and filling. The chips are light and crispy with 3 dipping salsa dishes. My Margarita was quite good although they only offer on rocks and not blended. Let me warn you, the dinner plates are very big, if you have the appetizer, it's better to order a la cart instead of the whole combo plates of any kind. You'll be taking some home for lunch the next day. I ordered the fish taco plate, the fish wasn't breaded fried, not crispy like some other restaurants, but with all the veggies, quite tasty and no fish smell. The rice and beans were great, but it's big so I took the rest home for lunch. Everyone in my family ordered different plates and they're all huge and delicious from wet burritos, shrimps, salads, etc. The prices are a little high, average $30 a plate, but for the restaurants atmosphere, the area, I think it's reasonable. The important thing is the service is attentive, fast, pleasant and the foods are excellent, except the walk back to our cars on the street. I've been here twice and I do like it. We'll always come here if Mexican food is desired.

we went here for Friday dinner. The ambience is great and vibe is lively . We had to wait for around 30 minutes for a table. Server staff is great and friendly. The food on the other hand is mediocre, it’s Tex mex not authentic Mexican food. Cheese in everything. They give complimentary chips and salsa. Salsa is creamy liquid like not chunky. The only option of fish tacos you have is $25 entree under “specials” and not anything less than that. Not worth the price in my opinion. For a combo of $19 the tacos they serve has only meat options which is interesting that obvious choice in taco is not fish. It seems like this is great place if you want to grab cocktails/drinks with some light appetizers.

We came here after work, 600pm, for HH and dinner today. I couldn't decide between the camarones but finally went with the camarones al cilantro from the Google pictures/reviews. I paired it with the anejo tequila flight cuz I've been wanting to try the La Familia. The camarones al cilantro was very good but short on wow factor, barely grazing a 4.5/5 overall for platter. As for the price, I would have to agree with some reviews as being pricey for what you get. Guacamole seemed fresh and good, 4/5. The coctel camarones was delicious and fresh, 4.5/5. All items we had were quite good but seemed to be over price for the food. The drinks, margarita, Hendricks Tom Collins, and anejo flights were very reasonable. Our server, Godinez, provided 5/5 service. Overall, 4.5/5.
